Interim Service checklist
| Check Handbrake operation, condition & travel |
| Check operation of exterior lights, instruments, gauges and horn |
| Check seatbelts for condition and operation |
| Check ABS warning lights for correct operation |
| Check for correct clutch operation adjust if required/applicable |
| Top up battery if applicable and check security |
| Check and top up brake and clutch fluid report abnormal loss |
| Check windscreen wiper rubbers and correct operation |
| Check Screen washer operation & top up |
| Check/top up power steering reservoir where applicable |
| Check coolant level/antifreeze strength-advise if below recommended strength |
| Carry out any outstanding recalls as identified on Vin enquiry system (Ford/Mazda only) |
| Check condition/tension of auxiliary drive belts adjust as required (excludes cam belts) |
| Replace oil filter |
| Drain and re-fill engine oil (special or Synthetic oils at additional charge) |
| Check and top up gearbox fluid where applicable, report damage and leaks |
| Check and report general oil leaks |
| Check wheel bearings for play and noise |
| Check steering/suspension components and driveshafts/gaiters for wear and corrosion |
| Check underbody for damage and corrosion |
| With wheels removed visually check discs/drums for wear/cracks/corrosion/scoring-report disc and pad thickness on VHC |
| Visually inspect hydraulic system for leaks, chafing ,and corrosion |
| Inspect exhaust system for leaks/security/excessive noise |
| Check tyre condition uneven wear and remaining tread depth including spare, report tread depths |
| Re-torque wheel nuts to manufacturers specification |
| Adjust tyre pressures to manufacturers specification |
| Reset service light if applicable (not available where specialist equipment is required) |
| Carry out battery test using Midtronics tester, clean terminals |
| Check condition of fuel lines, hoses, oil pipes and wiring |
| Replace air filter element |
| Check cooling system and Vac pump for leaks/damage |
| Check condition of radiator cap |
| Test brake fluid boiling point and report if replacement required |
| Lubricate bonnet catch and check correct operation |
| Lubricate door hinges and check straps if required |
| Check condition of number plates |
| Check for cambelt replacement interval advise if due *at additional cost |
| Check operation of heater blower and aircon operation, advise if anti-bacterial treatment due |
| Check when Tappet adjustment is due and advise customer *at extra cost if required |
| Carry out Visual Healthcheck Report |
| Carry out road test - do not reset trip |
